Forest How is a large Victorian House, dating back to the 1870´s, set in peaceful seclusion amidst five and a half acres of natural fellside and gardens at the foot of Muncaster Fell, with beautiful views across fields to the village of Eskdale Green and to the fells beyond. The owner of the property Deb Edwards approached us with regard to changing all the windows in the property and also to change the very tired looking conservatory which was used as the guest dining room.
The original conservatory was used daily as a breakfast room for the guest house.
As you can see the ceiling was in danger of collapsing and it regularly rained in in bad weather
The windows were in need unsightly and needed replacing
The room was very dark on dull days.
Our team of fitters started by removing the old roof slates
we then removed the old windows
We then removed the rest of the roof timbers, leaving only the low wall upon which the new conservatory would be placed
Then the new conservatory started to take shape
The outer frames for the windows were the first to be fitted then the outer frames for the roof
